Proposal for Referendum on Provinces Rejected

Ljubljana, 13 February - The parliamentary Local Government and Regional Policy Committee on Wednesday unanimously rejected the proposal by the opposition Zares for a referendum on provinces, in which voters would decide on the government's proposal that Slovenia be divided into 14 provinces.
