EU Leaders Launch New Phase of Lisbon Strategy, Aim to Reassure Investors
Brussels, 14 March - The EU leaders set into motion in Brussels on Friday a new three-year cycle of the Lisbon Strategy setting out reforms aimed at keeping the member states on the reform path. In the draft conclusions of the EU summit, the leaders stated that the reforms were all the more necessary to shore up Europe's economy in the face of global economic turmoil.
