Europol to Be Transformed into EU Agency

Luxembourg, 18 April - Europol, the European police office, will be transformed from an intergovernmental body into an EU agency effective in 2010, EU interior ministers decided at Friday's meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council in Luxembourg.
