Member States Give Commission Mandate for Visa Talks with US

Luxembourg, 18 April - EU interior ministers gave the European Commission on Friday a mandate for talks on visa-free travel with the United States. Negotiations with the US will start next week, said Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot, who currently heads the Commission's justice department.
