Jansa Insists on 2007 Surplus, Head Auditor Says Deficit

Ljubljana, 2 February - The Court of Audits president Igor Soltes stressed on Monday that the review of 2007 budget closing account showed that inappropriate recording of events led to the budget showing a EUR 37m surplus instead of a deficit of EUR 9m. However, the then prime minister Janez Jansa insists that according to any account method, there was a surplus in 2007.
