Italian Govt Secures Extra EUR 1m for Slovenian Minority

Trieste/Rome, 4 February - The Italian government has adopted a special decree that secures the Slovenian minority an additional EUR 1m in the 2009 state budget, thereby almost matching the funds made available to the minority in 2008. The move comes after a controversial cut in the funding, which sparked protest in Slovenia as well as Italy.
