Changes to Police Act Raise Dust

Ljubljana, 21 May - Government-sponsored amendments to the police act which introduce changes in the appointment of the police commissioner and expand police powers have stirred the political arena. The amendments were to be debated at the plenary session of the National Assembly on Thursday, but have still not made it through the relevant parliamentary committee.
