Govt Puts Appointment of Police Boss in Minister's Hands

Ljubljana, 7 May - The government changed on Thursday the provisions regulating the appointment of leading police officials, including the police commissioner, who will no longer need to be chosen via a public call for applications. Their appointment will be the responsibility of the interior minister.
