Ljubljana, 28 November - Pope Benedict XVI on Saturday accepted the resignation offered by Ljubljana Archbishop and Metropolitan Alojz Uran and appointed Maribor Auxiliary Archbishop Anton Stres as his successor, the Slovenian Bishops' Conference said on Saturday.
