Outcry as Doctor Gets Reduced Penalty in Boy Death Case

Ljubljana, 8 December - The death of a 12-year-old boy from a genetic disorder that was not picked up by his attending physicians is continuing to fuel a public debate on the willingness of doctors to take responsibility for their mistakes and of the system to deal with negligence, after the doctor involved in the case had her penalty reduced by a panel of peers.
