Tuerk Calls Proponents to Withdraw Impeachment
Ljubljana, 2 March - The key players in the first ever impeachment motion against a president presented their views in parliament on Tuesday. While opposition leader Janez Jansa insisted that President Danilo Tuerk had seriously violated the Constitution, Tuerk labelled the motion unjustified and damaging. The ensuing debate showed the motion was headed for failure.
