Maribor's European Capital of Culture Project Marred by Crisis

Ljubljana/Brussels, 24 March - Preparations for Maribor's stint as the 2012 European Capital of Culture (ECC) seem to be marred by the financial crisis. Prime Minister Borut Pahor said on Wednesday that the government was forced to reduce the funds earmarked for the project, down to about EUR 30m.
