MPs Confirm Higher Excise on Cigarettes, Electricity, Gas

Ljubljana, 6 July - The National Assembly confirmed on Tuesday the raising of excise duties on cigarettes, electricity and gas despite warnings from the opposition that the move places an additional burden on companies and consumers. The coalition backed the temporary increase, arguing it would help compensate for the drop in budget revenues.
