Guantanamo Prisoners Provision Passes First Parliamentary Hurdle

Ljubljana, 3 May - Changes to the foreigners act, which also allow for Slovenia to accept detainees from the US prison in Guantanamo, were sent to second reading in parliament on Tuesday. Coalition MPs countered the opposition's focus on the prisoners debate by highlighting the general raise in the level of rights for foreigners being secured.
