Court Rules Record Damages in Medical Negligence Case

Ptuj, 23 May - The Ptuj regional hospital will have to pay nearly half a million euros in damages to a 21-year-old who lost his leg due to negligent care provided by the hospital, the Ptuj District Court has decided. This is the highest compensation ever awarded in a medical negligence lawsuit in Slovenia. The ruling is not yet final.
