EU Allows Extension of Coal Mining in Trbovlje to End of 2012

Brussels, 29 June - The European Commission approved on Wednesday Slovenia's plan to extend the exploitation of the Trbovje-Hrastnik coal mine until the end of 2012 and redistribute the planned state aid in order to avoid the major social impact that the mine's closure could have on the region.
