EU Fails to Appoint Slovenian Diplomat to Top EEAS Position

Ljubljana, 4 August - EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton failed to appoint a Slovenian diplomat to any of the 25 top posts at the European External Action Service (EEAS) in the second round of appointments this week. Foreign Minister Samuel Zbogar said Thursday it was high time Slovenia got an ambassador in the EEAS.
