Experts Want Legislative Changes to Increase Share of Women in Politics

Ljubljana, 5 November - Sociologists and other experts believe that Slovenia should introduce additional measures and change electoral legislation to achieve a higher share of women in politics. Most parties decide to run women in districts where they have poor chances of being elected. Only 13.3% of the MPs elected in 2008 were women.
