European Culture Capital to Open with Spectacle on Drava River

Maribor, 5 November - The European Capital of Culture project will be launched with a lavish spectacle on the Drava river in Maribor on 14 January, programme director Mitja Cander has said. "The opening weekend will be an important message to the Slovenian and foreign public, therefore we will try to make it as interesting as possible."
