Speaker Rejects SDS's Austerity Proposal on Procedural Grounds

Ljubljana, 22 November - Following the undermining by the opposition Democrats (SDS) of an effort to pass an austerity bill that would curb public sector spending in 2012, a similar attempt launched subsequently by the SDS was rejected on Tuesday by Parliamentary Speaker Ljubo Germic, who quoted procedural reasons.
