Ksenija Klampfer, a former labour minister who currently serves as secretary general at the Digital Transformation Ministry, was appointed digital transformation minister in a 50:18 vote on Tuesday. She is replacing Emilija Stojmenova Duh, who resigned in late September in the wake of an ethics breach.

The National Assembly has voted down the opposition-sponsored motion to dismiss its president Urška Klakočar Zupančič over her alleged violations of the parliamentary rules of procedure, laws and the Constitution and inappropriate conduct. Both Klakočar Zupančič and coalition parties argued the charges were baseless.

President Nataša Pirc Musar awarded on Tuesday the Golden Orders of Merit to Sandi Curk, the head of the regional civil protection headquarters for the Notranjska region, and Anica Mikuš Kos, a paediatrician, psychiatrist, and humanitarian.

Prime Minister Robert Golob has announced that a blueprint for a second package of tax changes, which will include a real estate tax, will be examined by the government next week. He hopes the laws will be passed next year.
