Trade Unions Say New Coalition Abolishing Welfare State

Ljubljana, 23 January - The ZSSS confederation of trade unions said on Monday that the draft coalition agreement initialled by right-leaning parties was ending the welfare state and thus violating the Constitution. The biggest coalition party, the Democrats (SDS), rejected this, saying the goal was prosperity for all, which cannot run counter to the Constitution.
