Ljubljana, 9 March - Japanese Ambassador Toshimitsu Ishigure thanked Slovenia in an open letter published in the daily Delo on Friday for aid provided after a devastating earthquake and tsunami hit Japan on 11 March 2011, claiming nearly 19,000 lives.
