Slovenia to Cut Defence Budget Below 1.5% of GDP

Brussels, 22 March - Slovenia's previous government had pledged to keep the defence budget at 1.5% of GDP, but Defence Minister Aleš Hojs told NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen on Thursday that the pledge would not be honoured this year or next.
