Spending Cuts Go Ahead as Govt and Police Unions Sign Agreement

Ljubljana, 30 May - Police unions and the government signed Wednesday an agreement that will pave the way for the austerity measures to take effect on 31 May. Under the deal, the two police trade unions will withdraw the call for referendum in exchange for having certain benefits inserted into their collective bargaining agreement.
