Prosecution Demands Seven and a Half Years for Kordež

Ljubljana, 3 September - District State Prosecutor Jože Kozina on Monday proposed sentencing former boss of hardware retailer Merkur Bine Kordež to seven and a half years in prison and fining him EUR 50,000 for defrauding the company of EUR 10m. The defence called for an acquittal. The court will announce the verdict on Wednesday.
