Embattled Maribor Mayor Refuses to Resign
Ljubljana, 22 November - Maribor Mayor Franc Kangler refused to resign Thursday, a day after a popular protest saw some 1,000 people turn up in city hall square demanding him to step down over mounting accusations of corruption and a decision to erect a fleet of automated speed cameras around Maribor which angered the locals.
