Idrija and Almaden Inaugurated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Idrija, 12 December - The mercury mines in Idrija in western Slovenia and Almaden in Spain officially became UNESCO World Heritage sites on Wednesday, half a year after a decision to that effect was adopted in St Petersburg.
