Govt Deficit at 4.5% of GDP after Q3, FinMin Says 3.5% Within Reach for 2012

Ljubljana, 28 December - The Statistics Office assessed on Friday that the general government deficit stood at EUR 1.2bn or 4.5% of GDP through the first three quarters of 2012. While government revenues continue to be hurt by the recession, the government anticipates to see the deficit fall to near its target figure of 3.5% of GDP by year's end.
