OZS: New Tax on Sugary Drinks Will Boost Alcohol Consumption
Ljubljana, 18 February - The draft bill introducing a tax on sugary drinks will stimulate alcohol consumption, because alcoholic beverages will be cheaper than non-alcoholic, the Chamber of Trade Crafts and Small Business (OZS) said on Monday. It stressed that this ran contrary to the goal of reducing alcohol consumption, especially among the young.
