Committees Unanimously Against Privatisation of Water

Ljubljana, 22 February - The parliamentary committees for agriculture, finance and EU affairs on Friday came out strongly against privatisation of water source management, which they fear could arise from the planned EU directive on concession contracts. Deputies called on the government to keep access to drinking water a universal right and prevent privatisation.
