Unions and Civil Society Trash Changes to Referendum Rules

Ljubljana, 24 May - Representatives of trade unions and civil society groups were united on Friday in their strong rejection of the parliament's backing of tighter referendum rules, arguing referendum initiatives should be avoided with quality bills and social dialogue and not with an administrative ban of the popular vote.
