MPs Confirm 10% Tax on Lottery Tickets in Narrow Revote

Ljubljana, 18 July - The National Assembly confirmed on Thursday the lottery ticket tax act introducing a 10% tax on lottery and betting tickets in a narrow re-vote after the upper chamber vetoed the motion on Wednesday. The tax will be paid by lottery operators, with the government expecting it to bring some EUR 7m in revenue this year.
