Opposition Challenges Amendments to Forestry Act

Ljubljana, 14 August - The opposition has launched a constitutional challenge of the government-sponsored amendments to the forestry act which introduce strict criteria for logging and measures to improve the traceability of wood. It believes the conditions and fines are too harsh and will mostly affect small forest owners.
