Ceremony Remembers First Victims of Fascism

Trieste, 8 September - A ceremony commemorating the 1930 execution of four Slovenian anti-Fascists will be held in Italy's Basovizza on Sunday. The event, which is marked by three important anniversaries this year, will also see participation by two Slovenian ministers.

TIGR (standing for Trieste, Istria, Gorizia, Rijeka) was a patriotic anti-Fascist organisation set up in the 1920s, after Italy occupied these areas after WWI.
