Paper Claims Vatican Bank Secured EUR 40M for Maribor Archdiocese

Vatican City/Maribor, 1 October - The Italian weekly L'Espresso reported on Monday that the Vatican bank IOR had issued an interest-free EUR 40m loan to the Maribor Archdiocese to help it with its financial woes. Maribor Archdiocese administrator and Bishop of Celje Stanislav Lipovšek said he was not aware of any such developments.
