OLYMPICS: Ski Jumpers Aiming at Medal in Team Event
Sochi, 17 February - Slovenian ski jumpers will be looking to add another medal to their tally as they take on the men's team large hill event at the Sochi Winter Olympics on Monday. Double medallist Peter Prevc will be joined by Jurij Tepeš, Jernej Damjan and veteran Robert Kranjec, who was doubtful until the last day due to a knee injury.
Prevc, who has won silver on the normal hill and bronze on the large hill, will need the three remaining team members to step up if Slovenia want to win a team medal in Sochi.
"It will be hard, and we will also need a lot of luck. We are not favourites given the state we are in. Prevc is and will be the working horse, but he is not able to do everything on his own," Damjan said ahead of the competition.
Slovenia will also be represented in Sochi today by Jakov Fak in the men's 15km biathlon mass start race, Teja Gregorin in the women's 12.5km biathlon mass start and by Matija Mihič in the men's snowboard cross.
