Coalition Agrees on Measures to Fill EUR 200M Hole in Budget

Ljubljana, 6 April - The coalition agreed on measures to fill the EUR 200m hole in this year's budget resulting from the annulment of the real estate tax on Sunday. While there will be no VAT hike, excise duties, mostly on tobacco and alcohol, will go up, and the government plans to save up to EUR 50m in the public sector.
