Erjavec Vying to Be Speaker, EU Commissioner
Ljubljana, 29 July - Karl Erjavec, the leader of the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) and Slovenia's outgoing foreign minister, has agreed in principle to be a candidate for the speaker of parliament, although this may change in subsequent coalition talks. He is also eyeing the post of European commissioner.
