European Parliament Committees Reject Bratušek, New Candidate Sought
Brussels, 8 October - The European Parliament's industry and environment committees (ITRE and ENVI) overwhelmingly rejected Wednesday former Slovenian PM Alenka Bratušek's candidacy for vice-president of the European Commission for the energy union after her disappointing performance at Monday's hearing. PM Miro Cerar announced an immediate search for a new candidate.
