Janez Janša Stripped of MP Status
Ljubljana, 15 October - The National Assembly stripped the imprisoned Democrats (SDS) leader Janez Janša of his MP status on Wednesday, as 58 deputies voted against the proposal of the parliamentary Privileges and Credentials Commission that Janša keep his term despite his two-year prison sentence. Six deputies voted in favour of Janša in a vote boycotted by the SDS.
