Top Court Orders Retrial in Tax Case Against Koper Mayor

Ljubljana/Koper, 8 December - Koper Mayor Boris Popovič has successfully appealed at the Constitutional Court against an eight-month suspended sentence handed to him in 2010 for alleged tax evasion and document forgery. The case, one of several in which he has been found guilty, has been returned to the district court over violation of Popovič's right to a defence.
