Večer Agrees with Scrapping of Jail for Unpaid Fines
Ljubljana, 18 December - The daily Večer welcomes on Thursday the abolition by the Constitutional Court of provisions in the minor offences act allowing the jailing of persons who fail to pay their fines, noting among other things that the prison threat had little effect on those who were simply unable to pay.
