Court Rejects Bavčar's Prison Deferral Request, Večer Says
Ljubljana, 3 February - The Ljubljana District Court rejected the latest request by former Istrabenz boss Igor Bavčar, who was found guilty of soliciting abuse of office and money laundering, to defer his prison sentence, the daily Večer reports. Bavčar was hospitalised for heart problems last week and his doctor says he needs surgery urgently.
