Honeybee Day Observed with Hope for Intl Recognition
Ljubljana, 20 May - Slovenian beekeepers are celebrating Honeybee Day on Wednesday, remembering the birthday of Slovenian beekeeper Anton Janša (1734-1773), a pioneer of modern beekeeping. This year the celebration is held in the hope that 20 May could be observed internationally as World Honeybee Day.
