Govt Adopts Bill Permitting it to Limit or Ban GMO Production

Ljubljana, 24 June - The government adopted Wednesday a bill introducing additional safeguard against unwanted production of GMOs in the country. It allows Slovenia an opt-out for individual EU-approved GMOs or a direct ban on GMOs production in certain circumstances, Agriculture Minister Dejan Židan said.
