Danilo Türk, Slovenia's candidate for UN chief

Ljubljana, 23 December - Danilo Türk, a 63-year old with a PhD in international law, had spent 13 years in the United Nations before being elected as Slovenia's third president in 2007. Having failed to get re-elected, he launched a bid to become the next UN secretary-general.
