Upper chamber vetoes media act over contentious music quotas

Ljubljana, 4 February - The upper chamber of parliament has vetoed the reform media act over the controversial broadcast quotas for Slovenian music, sending it to a revote in the National Assembly.

Contested changes to the media act whose centrepiece is a requirement that radio stations dedicate more daytime airplay to Slovenian music will be discussed by the upper chamber of parliament.
