Plea bargaining increasingly popular among defendants

Ljubljana, 7 February - Two major white collar crime cases made headlines in the past weeks, as former boss of hardware retailer Merkur Bine Kordež and the former boss of Diners Slovenia, Tomaž Lovše, negotiated plea bargains. This has only been possible in Slovenia for two and a half years, when the country introduced a system of arraignments.
