Changes to environmental act vetoed over permits, emission limits

Ljubljana, 10 March - The upper chamber of parliament vetoed on Thursday the changes to the environmental protection act which scrap 10-year limitations of environmental licences. To override the veto, the MPs will have to support the changes again with an absolute majority of 46 votes. The government-sponsored changes were passed in a 44:15 vote last week.
